Localisation
| More |
Localisation is the process not only of translating text but making
sure that the language and references used are relevant to your target
market.
Localisation is used for websites, marketing material, brand recognition,
software and instruction manuals – these texts may be the first
point of contact with your target market and you wouldn’t want
to be misunderstood! Many businesses, even global companies, have
been fooled into thinking that just because someone speaks a language,
it means he or she is a good translator.
